Why does the water heater breaker keep tripping?

I believe that the Element is probably bad, or the wiring has come loose, or maybe even some water made it short out; this is caused by a loose connection on the top of the water heater and may be the problem.
And if it is leaking, it may need to be replaced. Probably have the Water heater checked out.
Have a professional check for leaks. To see if it leaks from the connections. Then trailing down and cause a short. Have an Electrician check this out when I encounter something of this nature.
I always consult an electrician. I think it is wise to play it safe. Before Installing the water heater, have the wiring checked?
