My Response To The Question

Look, it is most obvious when the Toilet is clogged. Now, the question should be rather. Where is the location of the clog? In the Toilet ( in the Trap of the Toilet) or somewhere else?

Run water in the shower for a few minutes (This part is CRUCIAL Run for a Good while, Maybe five to TEN + Minutes or even LONGER, at least 10 Minutes or MORE. Check inside that nothing overflows or backs up.

If before the SHOWER was stopped up but DRAINED, then it’s the mainline drain.

See, the Pipes may be empty, or the Water May Have Drained Out Slowly.

So YOU Must make sure to see if  it’s only in the toilet where  the stoppage is!!!)

If nothing else is backing up like in the SHOWER?

Then it’s only in the Toilet. The Best or easiest way to tackle this is to USE a Rubber CONE Type of PLUNGER (Cost $7.00.)

Put the Cone in the TOILET and use a Suction Type of Method. FIVE or TEN Times, and if this Dislodges the Stoppage. Great.

Many Items can easily clog drains and a toilet, Including Baby Wipes, and yes, even something as simple as throwing a cotton swab for cleaning the ear can get stuck in the p-trap of the toilet, rags, the heavy paper roll napkins. Etc.

Best to only use toilet paper. It dissolves easily. It is made for that purpose.

If, after plunging. If the clog persists, then Use a Toilet Auger.

(They cost around $30.00 at the Home Depot.)

If this doesn’t work, the only other thing to unstop the toilet since nothing else is stopping up when “you run water for TEN MINUTES or MORE. in the shower and sink(s)” In other words, the water goes down, or the drains don’t backup after running the water except in the toilet.

It is to remove the toilet. There must be something lodged in the toilet, a toy or something. Use a plunger to remove water as best as possible well, the ideal thing is to use a wet-dry vacuum.

Take outside, face the toilet upside down, and use the plunger inverted—the drain side.

“One more thing if the Shower backs up when running water in the shower drain for TEN minutes or more. It’s in the Main Drain line.”

The way to unclog this is to go through the Main Line Cleanout. Or go through the vent, But going through the vent should be left to a professional. Call a PLUMBER.

Although with, Practice is how we all Learn. Make Sure to Use LEATHER GLOVES.

Calling a professional to do the work is always recommended.
